Class one: Introduction to yoga and the participants are introduced to the concept of ahimsa: non-violence to self and toward others. After a discussion regarding this ethical standard, classical yoga techniques are taught.

| Class two: The importance of breathing is instructed using props, imagery and games to represent the three types of breathing. A variety of child friendly pranayama practices are explored to demonstrate the effects on one’s mood and energy. |
| Class three: The entire session focuses on conflict resolution and non-violent communication. Homework for the weekend is assigned. |
| Class four: A third of the class time is an open discussion about their homework. Classical asanas (exercises) ending with Eastern and Western relaxation practices finish this class. |
| Class five: All of the yoga exercises, concentration techniques, and breathing practices, learned so far, which can vary depending on each class dynamic, are reviewed. |
Class six: Conflict resolution strategies are revisited along with lecture and interactive discussion of non-violent communication.
