Understanding All About Subconscious Mind Power
Dec 12th, 2009 by Dee Marie

If you’ve ever seen the old movie, ‘Field of Dreams,’ you might remember the saying, ‘If you build it, they will come.’ You have your own field of dreams, and that is your subconscious mind. In this case, ‘If you think it, it will come.’

This came from his subconscious mind power and ended up making him realize he needed to plow over half his crops. Even though he wasn’t sure why his mind was telling him this, he still went with it during one of the roughest parts of his life. By the movies end, he was making more money then he ever even dreamed, which wasn’t his initial reason for building a baseball field in the first place.

If you’re skeptical, don’t worry. A lot of people are. However, let’s take a look at a few examples of just how powerful your mind can be. One of the most obvious is scientific, and actually occurs in the medical field. This particular subconscious mind effect has been documented over and over again. Called the ‘placebo effect,’ it’s most often used when medical trials are underway. One group of patients in the study is given a placebo, which is made of some type of inert substance that has no physical effect. The other group of patients in the study is given the actual drug. Both groups are told what the medication is used for and what it should do for them. Neither group knows whether they’ve gotten the placebo or the actual medication.

Most studies have shown at least some of what is called the ‘placebo effect.’ That is, at least some of the people in the placebo group have shown ‘effects’ from the ‘drug,’ even though they’ve actually gotten a placebo. That is, their subconscious minds decided that they had gotten the drug and produced some of the same benefits and side effects as they were told the actual medication would give them. Simply, these patients believed they had gotten the medication, so their subconscious minds produced the medication’s effects to at least some degree.

In today’s world, doctors have come around to believing the importance of the subconscious mind. Good ways to see it for yourself is by getting a new prescription and wait for your physician to tell you about the side effects. More times than not you’ll be waiting forever because most of them don’t tell you. Why? Well, because you’ll be listening about all the negative aspects to the drug.

What do these two examples above prove? That the power of suggestion AND the power of the subconscious mind will give you a very powerful results. It works in the medical field, and it can work in your everyday life, too. Why can’t you tap into this power and positively change your life? You can, with the power of suggestion; change the way your subconscious mind works by using it to your advantage.

You can use visualization to change the way you see things, too. Visualization is a very simple technique that really, really works. You can do this in a couple of different ways. Number one, close your eyes and visualize in your mind’s eye what you want, seeing it as though it were right there in front of you.

Since everything seems to work with visualization today, we recommend using a physical picture. It could be a new car you took with your camera phone or a new house with you standing in front of it. Whatever the case may be, having that acknowledgement that something could be yours will begin your path to the inner portion of your subconscious mind.

These traits have withstood the test of time and are only being recognized more so today. It’s been thousands of years since ancient religions continuously trained their subconscious mind and opened up the power behind it. Hopefully we will continue to embrace the positive effects it can have on our lives as a society.

A scientific field called quantum physics has shown that matter is no longer solid at the subatomic level and simply becomes pure energy. And, quantum physics has shown that the mind can actually manipulate this energy. In fact, quantum physics has actually proven that the energy itself does not exist UNLESS it is observed.

What does that mean? Matter or energy exists because it is observed, and for no other reason. It is the mind of the observer that makes the matter exist, and not the other way around. In short, matter; and reality itself; is actually a creation of the mind. This is truly ‘subconscious mind power’ at its essence.

There is a huge difference there as you can see and it’s what makes the power of your subconscious mind so wonderful. The person who thinks positive is focusing on the big picture as opposed to the ‘right now.’ However, this is just a small indention of how helpful this can be to changing your life for the better. There is so much out there that we’ve missed as a society that was practiced thousands of years ago.

Wouldn’t you like to give this a try? Change your life just by thinking about it. Harness the power of your subconscious mind and use it to your advantage instead of simply being at its whim. For the next week, visualize or use affirmations to positively change your life and see what happens. Start small at first so that you can prove to yourself that it works, and then ultimately go on to create the life you want; all with the power of your subconscious mind.

Power Of Mind Throughout The Ages
Nov 18th, 2009 by Dee Marie

The power of the human mind is undisputed; it goes back to the teachings of Aristotle, and is one of the fundamental images of humanity ? the person with the plan solving the problem, getting play in myths from Theseus to Batman. The power of mind is also a power you can harness to create the life you want.

In the last few years there has been an interesting concept called the ‘law of attraction’. This came about by the book and film called ‘The Secret’ which deals with the idea of ‘the power of mind‘. It basically says that it is our own minds which are actually manifesting what we are experiencing now. What we are thinking about and imagining will actually happen. Even if you don’t believe in it, it is true. If you consciously make an effort to change your life it will happen, if you imagine it happening first!

In scientific studies, this is sometimes called the observer effect, or the Placebo Effect. More plausibly, it’s that keeping a good mental attitude and a solid set of goals in mind keeps you mentally prepared to take advantage of opportunities you’d've overlooked before. Opportunism is one of the great defining characteristics of successful people ? though this is also the reason why hypochondriacs get sick more often as well. What you believe will alter how you interact with the world, and how you see your own ‘personal karma’. Your own mind power is awesome!

It’s amazing to see how those who only got a placebo are able to cure their ailment. Then of course there are others who believe hear about the side effects, take the placebo and somehow end up with even the rarest of kinds. It’s just one of the many ways we can prove how powerful the subconscious mind can alter your life.

In order to do this though, you’ll have to find a goal. We really don’t care what it is as long as it’s something concrete and narrowed down. Maybe you just want to save 0 extra bucks a month or make it through the day without being angry, depressed, or upset. Whatever you decide is fine and making it happen will be completely up to you (even though we’ll help you every step of the way).

While there are a few people who enjoy things such as ESP, telepathy, and psychic power, you don’t have to take it that far. The way you use the subconscious mind can work for the smallest things in your life that needs to be changed. Need to eat healthier foods? Then you can train your mind to bring that positive aspect into your life. Just keep in mind it works for everything.

You’ve probably already experienced this a time or two without even realizing it. Maybe you were cutting out coupons and that inner voice told you if you don’t stop you’ll end up cutting your hand. Then of course you didn’t listen to this nonsense and all of the sudden you stick your other hand with the scissors. Granted, it may not have happened exactly like this, but you get the idea.

Okay, let’s get started. The first thing you need to do is have a goal. However, it has to be something specific and not a vague one. The very first goal I came up with when I first started understanding the subconscious mind was to make it through the day without getting angry. You know, those slow drivers, lazy co-workers, and the kids at home who can just be exhausting after awhile, can all have their little happenings that irritate you and put you in a mood.

When you’re training you will even start thinking about things you have never done before in your life. Many of you will use the power of the subconscious mind to start going on vacation. Others will get into more serious subjects like overcoming your fear of the doctor, dentist, or hospital. It’s probably nice just thinking about the positive aspects of your life that are going to get even better, but we’re not there yet.

Touching back on the slogan of the United Negro College Fund, imagine the opportunities that can open to you if you spend the time to get a proper education. You want to get the degree that will open doors for you. You take the time to get into your employer’s tuition reimbursement program and you work on your class work. You focus on walking down that aisle with a degree in hand. Everything becomes secondary to getting that education and opening those doors to future prosperity. This is an example of the Law of Attraction in action.

And eventually, if you follow through, you will get that degree. You’ll have a base of knowledge that you can use to further your career, and a foundation in how to learn independently to make your future endeavors more efficient. On top of that, you’ll have ample evidence that a positive attitude and setting goals can get you anywhere in life. All of your energy focused through the Law of Attraction can be quite potent.

What it comes down to is that we believe in ourselves to a certain extent. When the time comes that you feel as though something will be impossible, it’s time to tap into the subconscious mind. If you can do this, it won’t be long before you start experiencing the positive energy that is built around you.
