Is finding abundance possible?
Nov 8th, 2009 by Dee Marie

Do you feel as if you are focusing all of your time and efforts on just getting through each day and surviving? That your dreams have disappeared and you are lost in a maze obligations? If so, you are not alone. You need to learn abundance. The concept of manifesting is a new technique that can help you find your way out of the maze and into the light. It is an outlook on life, a concept and perspective that can teach you to see the abundance that exists right in front of you, right now. It is not necessary for you to ‘settle’ while your dreams slip further and further out of sight.

Think of manifesting as a new life philosophy, particularly if you are new to the idea. This is better than believing it to be a series of techniques or self-help tips. What boils is down to is this, manifesting means achieving all of your professional and personal goals in spite of the confusing times.

Accept that it is okay for abundance to be part of your life. Today you will see way too many people settling for just enough to get by far too soon in life. Life dishes out a set back or two and the next thing you know their life goals are blowing in the breeze. Dreams and lofty pursuits drift further and further away until they appear unreachable. You know it is true that life can throw you a curve ball or two but if you want abundance dig in your heels and refuse to quit like Thomas Edison for example. He faced endless obstacles and likely ridicule but he was relentless in his pursuit of the light bulb. You might even say the man was a bit obsessive about creating illumination.

Everyone must be realistic and understand we have to live in this modern world. People are required to work hard, follow the rules and pay the bills. Nevertheless, this society has become so fragmented that dreams are hard to keep a hold of. Everyone is expected to have just one area of expertise.

But can you learn it?

As already, stated manifesting is a system or process. The first step on this journey is to be honest and ask what do you really want to manifest. This is quickly followed by an honest assessment of your life, which can be hard. Look around and determine if you are doing what you want or simply what you must to survive. If the latter is the answer you come up with you are going to have to dramatically change the way you see life.

It is way too easy in these modern times to do what you need to do instead of what you want to do. Society has brainwashed you into thinking that you must conform and do your duties. That is why so many people are just existing and not really living. You can use manifestation to get out of this slump.

It is simple. Manifestation will lead you to clarity. It will help you to see the world more clearly and get rid of the confusion. There is confusion all over the place today. From a grocery aisle filled with hundreds of options in one type of cereal to college where you have to decide between thousands of college degrees. When you finally figure out what degree and graduate you then have to choose from all the career options that you have.

Many people just avoid really thinking about things and choose to focus on making money. They feel money can make their life fullfilled. They think that by deciding to make the most money they will be happy. What really happens is they later find out money doesn’t satisfy them and it sure doesn’t fullfill them. Money just serves needs. It doesn’t make you happy. You are left feeling empty.

A big part of manifesting are confidence and positive thinking, as they are for many areas of life. Knowing what you want in your mind is not enough; it must be followed by a gut level belief that you can achieve any goal. Personal or professional it does not matter; the idea is to believe you can have whatever you set your mind towards. Would you like to make this easier on yourself? Keep out the negative thought processes, accentuate the positive and completely forget the negative! Concentrating on where you have missed the mark or been defeated is counterproductive to success. In fact, it will cloud your vision until you can no longer see your dreams or goals at all.

These are the simple steps in the manifesting process:

*Start by deciding what you want in your personal and professional lives.

*Focus on the positively and only on your successes.

*Get moving. You cannot sit around and think about what you want. While that is nice, it won’t make things happen, so start acting on your goals.

The message that comes from manifestation is a simple one about not settling for what you have to do. Strive to meet your goals. You have to see that anyone who has reached a dream, went through some hard times to get there. Dreams are not born in a day. They take hard work and dedication. You have to see that life is not about being happy or comfortable all the time. There is pain and there is failure, but there is also joy and success. You just have to commit to your goals and never give up on them.

Obstacles Of Yoga
Apr 19th, 2009 by Dee Marie

Anyone embarking on the journey of yoga will face a series of obstacles, difficulties and detours. You will need to remove all of the following difficulties, noticed by yoga practitioners for a long time, in order to be able to fully benefit from the positive aspects of yoga. Here is a quick look at the nine major obstacles:

1. Vyadhi – This obstacle refers to physical or mental illness. Practicing yoga si even more difficult when you are not in great health. A balanced, healthy life style ensures victory on this obstacle, by preventing any form of sickness. 2. Styana – The second major difficulty related to yoga refers to an advanced state of apathy, which interferes with you willingness to commit to your responsibilities. We neglect and avoid practice by procrastinating and this, in turn, leads to coming up with excuses for not doing our work.
3. Sanshaya – One other major interference in the practice of yoga is related to the issue of doubting the benefits of practicing it. This problem also arises when faith in your own capabilities is low. This leads to a deviation from the original goals, making you more susceptible to outside interference.
4. Pramada – When lack of persistence and will is notices, the 4th yoga obstacle comes in place. Yoga requires a unique approach, as it is a combination of arts and sciences. If you practice yoga without the proper emotional and mental states, you may turn its positive aspects into negative ones.
5. Alasya – A lazy and inert state of mind and body will prevent you from receiving yoga’s full benefits. Most people have a hard time dealing with their own will power, creating the perfect conditions for this obstacle to appear. The road to success is hard most of the times and a strong will power can support your ascent. A passive approach, on the other hand, will almost certainly lead to a slow and ineffective advance.
6. Avirati – Physical objects hold a magnetic attraction to the majority of people. Yoga needs you to let go of these ropes that tie you to the material world and make progress in the realm of the spirit. Removing the weight of physical things is vital while practicing yoga.
7. Bhrantidarshan – Misunderstanding the path you are taking while practicing yoga can lead to disappointment. Avoid this by keeping your hopes in good contact with reality.
8. Alabdha-bhumikatva – We are often victims of our own discouragement. When a failure occurs we fall into a state of self-depreciation and low optimism levels. Failing to reach a step on your road to achieving your ideal can lead to aggravated forms of this obstacle.
9. Anawasthitatwa – Poor yoga practice may also lead to the incapability to reach and hold a higher level of consciousness. This can be frustrating and result in disappointment.

Overcoming these obstacles is possible by helping your mind to focus on single elements a one time. Do not allow any of these obstacles to increase in power, as the others will soon follow. The passing of time and a strong will and commitment is usually very effective in dealing with the 9 yoga obstacles.
