Dreams that you have where you know they are dreams and control the final outcomes of the dream are called Lucid dreams. These are the type of dreams where you pick the subject or the person they are about and make the dream come out the way you want yet you feel like you are fully awake, similar to day dreaming.

There are no limits to what you can experience through Lucid dreams. You can be the star of a romantic fantasy novel, or high action adventure, you can control the outcome or change the endings to what makes you happiest.

The difference between normal dreams and lucid dreaming is that you control the lucid dream, where normal dreams may wander randomly from subject to subject. You may even have to pinch yourself because they can seem so real versus normal dreams that may be strange, abstract and sometimes scary.

In a dream, certain things will not seem right, like reading words, or colors may not be pronounced. There are simple tests many people do to see if they are really are having a lucid dream or are in a state like sleep walking, for example.

You may be having a fantasy about someone you want to be with. This may be impossible in real life, but of course anything is possible when you are lucid dreaming.

In a lucid dream, you can change the outcome if you don’t like how the dream is heading. If you imagine you are with your loved one that has passed, you might dream that they are still alive because you were able to get to them to warn them of their upcoming demise, for example. Controlling your dream for the desired outcome is part of lucid dreaming.

Is it physically possible to experience lucid dreams? Yes! There is a biological need for the body to sleep, to rest and prepare for another days activities, it is a relatively simple step for part of your mind to remain conscious while your body is resting.

Lucid dreaming needs some techniques which can be learnt by some practice and patience.

You can begin by doing some dream recall everyday. Each day try to recall the dreams that you had in the night. You need to remember them to the last possible detail. It’s a great idea to keep some paper and pen handy to record your dreams. In the beginning you may not recall all the details. That’s not a problem. However, with constant practice, you will find dreams repeating themselves. This will enable you to completely record your dream. Make this a habit and soon you will have all your dreams recorded and can refer to them when you want.

Lucid dreaming is a great tool for writers. You can actually dream about all the characters, the plot and the way you want your story line to move. You can use lucid dreaming for expressing all your dormant desires and manifesting them in reality.

Try to recall everything you can about your dream, go back to sleep and, if you can, return to where you were before you woke up and you will continue to dream. The dream will occur more than once, so you will have the opportunity to recall more each time it does occur. Recalling more each time you try.

If you happen to wake up in the wee hours of morning, which is the perfect time to have a lucid dream. It may feel as if you were really awake and thinking but it was in reality lucid dreaming.

Techniques, such as self-hypnosis can sometimes help you to recall vividly your lucid dreams, but many people find recalling lucid dreams easy to do.

Another shortcut worth mentioning is a recent development in sound technology called binaural beats. These special frequencies work by synchronizing the two hemispheres of the brain and almost instantly put your brainwaves into the state required for lucid dreaming to be possible.

Did you know that there exist some kinds of dreams which you can actually control while being aware that you are dreaming? These dreams are known as Lucid dreams. In such dreams you are dreaming but you can direct your dreams like a movie. You can decide the actors, the setting and even the story! You can even decide the dialogues!

There are no limits to what you can experience through Lucid dreams. You can be the star of a romantic fantasy novel, or high action adventure, you can control the outcome or change the endings to what makes you happiest.

While normal dreams are uncontrollable and completely dependent on the realms of the subconscious, lucid dreaming is completely controllable. There are times when lucid dreams become so vivid and so genuine that you may need to even make sure that you are dreaming!

In a dream, certain things will not seem right, like reading words, or colors may not be pronounced. There are simple tests many people do to see if they are really are having a lucid dream or are in a state like sleep walking, for example.

There are times that you like someone and want to be with someone. However, it might not be possible in reality but it is definitely possible in a lucid dream. You can even date and marry a Hollywood star in a lucid dream.

A good way to start is by trying to recall your dreams. Describe the images, from your dreams as vividly as you can. You can keep a pad and pen or pencil by the bed or lounge chair. Keep them handy so you waste no time jotting down your images clearly. If you don’t remember everything, don’t worry. When the dream repeats its self and it will, you will have an opportunity to finish recording it. Do this technique with all your lucid dreams and you will have a record to use as a reference.

Writers will often use this technique to line up their next novel, using some of the scenes and characters from the lucid dream as the basis for the storyline. Lucid dreaming is a good outlet to channel your ambitions to come up with an action plan to make them a reality.

You need to make it habit to recall each and every detail about your dream. Once you do that, try sleeping again and if possible try to start the dream where you left and continue your dream from there. The dreams will repeat themselves so you can delve into more details every time that happens.

If you happen to wake up in the wee hours of morning, which is the perfect time to have a lucid dream. It may feel as if you were really awake and thinking but it was in reality lucid dreaming.

With practice it will become easier each passing day. Self hypnosis is also a great way to enhance your lucid dreaming experience.

Another quick way of experiencing lucid dreams is to use a modern technique known as binaural beats. This involves using unique frequencies to synchronize the hemispheres of the brain which will automatically put your brainwaves in a frequency which corresponds to the state of lucid dreaming.
