Discovering The Realm Of Astral Projection
Jun 25th, 2010 by Dee Marie

Astral projection is a very popular topic these days. Search online from your workstation desk and see what turns up. There will be page after page of information. The actual process of astral projection remains a mystery. Many experiences are spontaneous in nature. They often happen to people when they are not expecting it. Here are some things you may consider, if you find yourself in another world, someday.

No need to panic

Many times, people will astral project in their own beds at night. It may be in a state between sleep and consciousness. At first you might hear a loud buzzing noise in your ears. It may sound like a large high voltage transformer. You might feel the room vibrate or sway back and forth. Remember to remain calm. It can be very alarming. Do not panic or your experience may end before you want it to.

You could feel light as air. You will eventually begin to rise from the bed. Allow yourself to float to the ceiling and beyond. You will eventually be in a standing position. Your journey into the unknown will begin.

What happens next is anyone’s guess. You might hear voices from nowhere. Maybe you will see rainbows or flashing lights. You may be in your own room. You may be across time in another dimension. Let yourself experience whatever transpires. Nothing can harm you. You may be in a world with completely different rules. A man may ask you for math tuition to cross a toll bridge. Think nothing of it, and pay the toll. There may be no such thing as gravity. Allow yourself to go with the flow. Do not expect normal events.

Understand that you can return whenever you wish. Tell yourself to go back when you are ready. You might not return instantly. Sometimes you may have to repeat the command. Eventually you will be back. Often times, you will enter your bed with a thud. This is usually enough to wake you into consciousness. When you return, write down what happened. It will help you to remember things.

There are ways to assist your astral experience. You can try affirmations at bedtime. Remind yourself that you wish to travel in space and time. Do this as you are falling asleep. Continue as you enter the realm of the unconscious.

Conclusion

Most anyone can experience astral projection. However, it seems to be more spontaneous than on purpose. If you practice bedtime affirmations, it may help. Other world experiences will vary greatly from person to person. You might enter the far reaches of the universe. You may journey into a past dimension. There may be no rules. Maths tuition and gravity may not exist. On the other hand, they may mean something totally different. It can be an interesting and exciting journey.

How to Engage in Astral Projection Techniques
Mar 11th, 2010 by Dee Marie

There are several differing astral projection techniques that can be utilized by many for use to help them do astral project. With every person being unique, a technique that is good for one user many not be good for another user. The main reason people run into problems with any of the methods usually is the fact that they have an inability to relax.

When you are looking at making astral projection techniques work, you will discover that total relaxation is a must. Far too many people are afraid of the idea of losing control, and especially if you are just getting started, this can be a little unnerving. You may be worried that you can die or that you will be harmed, and the truth is the complete opposite. To help quash these old fears, a research study was performed by the Canterbury Institute, which is known for its occult studies.

The Canterbury study had 2000 individuals, who were participants in astral projection. This study proved the not one person was found to be negatively affected in anyway from doing astral projection techniques. More importantly though is that there was a follow up down for 3 more years. No participant has had any problems that they have complained about.

Now that we’ve nipped the fear issue in the bud, let’s take a look at a few of the astral projection techniques, all of which have helped a great number of people in the past. The good news is; all these techniques are also relatively easy. The first technique which we’ll discuss is known as the Monroe Technique and it consists of seven main steps:

* The first step that you need to think about is complete and total relaxation. You can start with deep breathing, but just make sure that you find the one that works for you. As you inhale deeply and slowly, concentrate on relaxing your body, Think about relaxing the muscles of your body in stages, starting with the toes and working your way up.

* The next step involves the hynagogic stage, where your mind and body are very close to the state of sleep. Remember not to forget yourself and don’t doze off. Start by gazing at something and focus on it as you lay in bed. As you let your eyes drift shut, you will discover that you can still see the thing that you are focusing on.

* You will then need to deepen the state of mind you’re in once you reach the point where you can see the object even when your eyes are closed. At this point it may be possible to see different light patterns and you may even notice that the room appears to be immersed in a purplish light. There is no need for you to pay any attention to the purplish light or the light patterns, but instead, you’ll know you’ve entered a deeper state once you stop seeing the lights. Furthermore, once you reach this point you’ll be so relaxed, you won’t even be aware of your physical body anymore.

* This next step which revolves around a state of vibration is extremely important according to Monroe. Also, most people who are involved with the actual projection to indicate that these vibrations become noticeable in the early stages of projection. In fact, it is said that these vibrations signal the time when your astral body begins to separate from your physical body. This is a perfectly normal phenomenon and as such, there is no reason for concern.

* Next you need to be in control of these vibrations. To be in control you will have to focus on this vibrations and cause them to course through your body. Utilize your mind to do this, you need your whole body to experience the vibrations, as if they were waves covering you. You need to practice this enough that you can do this at will. Now that you can do this stage you will be able to leave the body next.

* The secret to astral travel and projection is for you to be in control with your mind. Monroe suggest that to strengthen this practice at this point a partial separation. Remaining focused mentally on the thought of exiting the physical body, 1st have a foot or maybe a hand go as fast as the astral body. Stretch either to an item that is close to you, as in maybe the floor, a wall, or any other item that is familiar, now place you foot or hand completely through this item. Now you need to bring the hand or foot back again to the physical body, calm down and stop the vibrations and bring session to a close. Keep laying on the bed until you have become to an awakened state completely.

* This last step is where you actually get to leave your physical body. Once again, you can follow all the previous steps but now, rather than only allowing a hand or foot to leave from the physical body, you’re going to allow complete separation. In order to do this, you need to focus on just how weightless your body really is. In fact you can even try to imagine that your body is made up of feathers which are being blown around by the wind. At this point, your astral body should be starting to leave your physical body and this will become apparent as you begin to feel as though you are floating.

Other popular methods include techniques such as the gazing method, the anchor method, and the rope technique. Ideally, one should spend some time experimenting with the different techniques in order to establish which technique suits you the most.

Irrespective of which technique or techniques you choose to use, you need to bear in mind that it’s not always possible to astral project instantly. As with so many other things in life, he does take practice.

When you are looking for a quicker shorter way to get results, remember that you should look at the audio tools that are available to you. There are some important tools that will use special sound frequencies to help you. These frequencies are known as Binaural beats, which will bring the two hemispheres o your brain into synchronization and you will find that it sinks you right into the meditative state

Another method of getting totally relaxed is listening to high quality hypnosis recordings for astral projection techniques. These aid the subconscious mind in knowing that it is safe for your astral body to transport away from your physical body.

Astral projection really does change the person’s life that attempts it and by practicing these techniques everyone who wishes can experience it too.

There are several differing astral projection techniques that can be utilized by many for use to help them do astral project. With every person being unique, a technique that is good for one user many not be good for another user. The main reason people run into problems with any of the methods usually is the fact that they have an inability to relax.

One thing you need to bear in mind right from the very beginning, is that total relaxation is essential, irrespective of which technique you choose to use. Unfortunately, because there are still many misconceptions regarding astral projection, many newcomers experience a certain degree of fear and this in itself prevents them from being able to relax. Contrary to what you may have heard, one cannot be harmed and neither can you die from astral projection. In fact, the Canterbury institute even went as far as doing some research involving 2,000 people, in order to squash such fears.

* The first step is getting your body and mind to be 100 percent relaxed. Many relaxation techniques can be utilized to reach this stage successfully. Using the deep breathing method is so simple just inhale deeply and exhale deeply. Another one is to relax every muscle in your body by first tensing them up then secondly release them, begin with the toes on your feet and work toward the head.

* The hypnotic state of mind. This is simply a state of mind when your mind and body are right at the very edge of consciousness. In other words, you are right at the verge of going to sleep but it’s imperative that you do not allow yourself to actually fall asleep. This can be achieved by using what is known as the ‘gazing method’, where one focuses on an object in the room as you lie on your bed. Your aim should be to be able to see the object even when your eyes are closed.

* Once you are inside the hynagogic stage, remember that you need to deepen it. With your eyes still closed, look around and see what you can see. Some of the things that you might see include strange light patterns, or everything being cloaked in a purple light. Go ahead and ignore the light, and once you have managed to get rid of it, you will know that you are in a deeper state. Remember that at this stage, you should be so relaxed that you are no longer aware of your physical body, and this detachment is extremely important when you are thinking about this technique and what it can do for you.

* This step is absolutely imperative with the Monroe technique. The state of vibration will need to be entered into. Many report feeling these types of vibration fairly early in the projection process. Is thought by the participant that the feeling of vibration is what happens when the astral body start to depart from the physical body. Don’t let this stage worry you, relax and feel the vibrations.

* This step might be known as controlling the vibrations. Start by focusing on them and feeling the way that they move through the body. Then work on controlling them with your mind. Feel them, and control them all at once and make sure that you can bring the waves on when you want to. Can you change the frequency and can you make sure that you can find them when you need/ if so, it is time to try to leave your body.

* Now you need to convince yourself that your mind has power and control. This is the stage with astral projection techniques where you will need to think about a partial separation. While this is going on, you will start to use your hand or your foot and to part it from your physical body. Move it up and away and try to pass it through a solid object that is near you. This can take some time and effort, but it is completely possible. Remember that once you have done that that you should return your body to its fully awake stage. Stay down until you are awake, and then you can move.

* At this stage, you are ready to leave the body entirely. Start by repeating steps one through six until you feel comfortable, and then, when you are ready, move completely into your astral body. You will find that this can feel a little strange and that you might need some visualization to get you started. Think about how you can release your body and how it feels so light. Think about how wind can blow it here and there and how weightless you are. You may feel as though you are flying or floating.

When you are looking for astral projection techniques, check out the Rope Technique, the Gazing Method and the Anchor Technique as well. Make sure that if one method doesn’t feel right for you that you find another one that does. This can be instrumental in getting you the kind of technique that meets your needs. Remember that there are a number of different ones out there, so find one that suits you.

You may however not have immediate results regardless of the technique used, it make take you plenty of practice to achieve desired results.

There actually is a faster way of achieving this! With certain innovations in sound technology, many audio type tools are available today to help you. One of the new techniques is the use of Binaural beats which are specialized sound frequencies, which help to synchronize the left and right hemispheres of your brain, allowing immediate meditative state to occur, which is necessary for astral projection.

One can also opt for hypnosis recordings which have been designed to assist those interested in astral projection. These aim to reassure ones subconscious mind that it’s perfectly acceptable for one to leave ones physical body.

Astral projection really does change the person’s life that attempts it and by practicing these techniques everyone who wishes can experience it too.

How to Astral Project
Feb 25th, 2010 by Dee Marie

The process of astral projection is a natural ability with which everyone is born. In fact, many people actually do it without even being aware of it. Our aim however should be to astral project while we?re physically conscious, thus allowing ourselves to control what your astral body is doing.

You probably already know about the astral body and the astral plane, so we’ll jump right into techniques which can assist you in your efforts to learn how to astral project. Different people do better using different methods, so you’ll probably want to try out a few until you hit on one which gets good results for you.

The primary method of understanding how to astral project, is a straightforward process consisting of five basic steps which can be done while lying down on your bed.

*First – Relax your entire body completely. The best way to do this is to start with your toes and work your way upwards, tensing and then relaxing each part of your body. You’ll become deeply relaxed as you do this and your body may feel extremely heavy ? this is perfectly normal.

*Okay, hopefully you will have achieved a state of deep relaxation, so now you need to control your breathing with slow deep breaths by following a method which has proven to be very popular in meditation. Breathe in deep but slowly and allow yourself to actually feel the air moving into you as it makes its way into your lungs. Now breath out slowly, once again paying attention to the air leaving your body. This is the bit many people find hard due to the extreme relaxation which results. Instead, they simply fall asleep which is of course, the last thing you want to be doing. Focusing on the centre of your forehead will in most cases, help you to remain conscious.

*Third ? Focus on the relaxed, heavy way your physical body feels. It probably feels like a heavy lump of clay or a slab of stone. Now turn your focus to the way that your astral body feels weightless and able to float free of your physical body. Imagine your astral body drifting upwards from the bed.

*At this stage is when you may be able to “see in infrared”, able to make out everything in the dark room in exquisite detail. The room may seem bathed in violet light. If you reach this stage, look up and focus your attention on a light upon or covering the ceiling.

*Continue concentrating on the light fitting and then mentally, slowly start to pull it towards yourself on the bed. At this point you should start feeling as if you?re starting to float. At this point it?s tantamount that you do not allow yourself to fall asleep because by now you should be absolutely aware that you?re floating and in all likelihood, it may well be possible to turn around and see your physical body still lying on the bed.

Once you reach this stage, you have consciously astral projected for the first time. Now you’re ready to astral travel. Here’s another method if the above doesn’t seem to work for you.

You can do this one, known as the Gazing Method, when you’re hitting the hay for night as well. You’ll need an object to focus on: the moon through your window or skylight, a lava lamp, even just a nightlight; whatever can hold your attention.

Of course, you must make sure you can gaze at the object as you lie in bed. Now, essentially you’re going to stare at this object. If you feel your attention wandering, bring it back to the object. You should soon begin to feel your eyelids getting heavy. Just keep staring; eventually your eyes will close but you should still be able to see the object as if your eyes are still open. Don’t turn your head; keep “staring”. You’ll come to a point where you want to sit up or stand up, and if you feel yourself do this don’t be alarmed if you can see your own physical body lying asleep on the bed.

You may need to practice these methods several times over before you start getting results, so the important thing is to never give up. If you let yourself grow frustrated or anxious this will only interfere with your ability astral project.

It should also be said now that one?s subconscious mind is perhaps the single biggest hurdle in your road to successful astral projection, irrespective what techniques or tools you decide to employ. In order for you to be able to successfully astral project, your subconscious mind has to be convinced that it?s perfectly acceptable and natural for your astral body to leave your physical body. A highly effective tool available for doing this is by means of affirmations. Once your subconscious has adjusted and learnt to accept the concept, astral projection is very easy.

Many people still find that conditioning their mind to an extent where astral projection becomes easy can take considerable time but the truth is, there are some incredibly efficient short cuts which can make it possible even after one attempt.

Hypnosis is something which a lot of people find helps them to astral project. Especially for beginners, a guided hypnosis session can help. Having an expert there to tell you what’s happening and what to do next at each step is valuable guidance.

Recent advancements in sound technology have brought to light, a concept known as ‘binaural beats’which are also proving to be very useful in helping people achieve a state of deep relaxation which is essential for successful astral projection.

Everybody is born with the natural ability to astral project. Techniques and tools such as affirmations and hypnosis simply offer a little assistance to those who struggling to learn.

What Is Meant By ‘Out Of Body’?
Feb 20th, 2010 by Dee Marie

Out of body travel has been recorded in the annals of history, dating back several centuries to the times of the ancient Egyptians. They called the soul, or the astral body, “Kha,” and often reproduced images of it hovering over or beyond the flesh-and-blood body. It was shown to be airy and translucent, and often haloed by light.

In their fascination of the astral body these ancient people used various methods of controlling their ability of out of body travels to other planes of space and time, all the while their physical body stayed put. It is possible that practising astral projection, they learned the secret skills needed to build the ancient pyramids using the materials they already had. Even today scientists are baffled as to the construction of the pyramids of the ancient Egyptians.

Meditation is the first element that the ancient Egyptians used for out of body travel. They recorded this as concentrating on nothing more than the visions they would see with their eyes closed and being nearly asleep. The flashes of patterns and lights that they would see represented the beginning of their journey to another plane in space and time while traveling in their astral body.

When this state passed, the astral body was said to then enter into an emergence phase, which in turn caused the physical body to hum or tingle and then feel very heavy. The ancients believed this feeling of tingling and heaviness was actually the feeling of the astral body pulling away from the physical body, and initiating the out of body journey into the unknown.

The techniques for accomplishing this varied, but the most common practice seemed to be to simply “walk” out of oneself, beginning through the mind’s eye, followed then by the shoulders and chest, hips, legs, knees, and finally the feet until there were two entities – a physical body and the astral body.

This separating of bodies, then allowed the astral body to pass freely through solid objects, it could also hover and fly about without being effected by the lack of oxygen or changes in the atmosphere.

Examples of out of body travel is also recorded by the ancient Greeks. They simply expanded on the state induced by meditation according to the ancient Egyptians. They also recorded out of body experiences that were caused by various types of mental or physical trauma. Plutarch of Queroneia an ancient historian mentions a person named Arisdeu after suffering from a blunt head trauma, which occurred by falling and who then slipped into a three day coma.

During this time the experience of Arisdeu included seeing his immobile physical body on the ground, although he was able to freely move about. He was able to travel out of body to previously unimagined places. After adapting to this new environment, the spirit guide of Arideu met him and assisted him and then advised him of the projection of his astral body into other dimensions.

Although, he was eventually pulled back into his physical body, while in his altered state he did learn and explore. Once returning to his physical body, he did spend the rest of his life using the knowledge he found during the time of his out of body experience.

Ancient Egyptians and Greeks are not the only cultures to record the history of out of body travel. The history of the Native Americans contains many full accounts of similar occurrences. These include meeting spirit guides and spirit animals advising on the traveling of the astral body. Native Americans have for centuries burned and then inhaled the smoke of particular plants to help relax the mind to the point required for out of body travel.

The human body has the ability to explore different horizons of time and space. This has been recorded since the beginning of time. We are able to channel our consciousness into a spiritual body. However, many modern individuals have forgotten this wonderfully natural gift. Many have forgotten how to alter our consciousness to the point that we can release it from the confines of our physical limitations. However, with practice we can join with our spiritual guides and self on the higher planes of existence.

In order to reopen this door to higher planes within us all, we have to remember how we can reconnect with our higher, spiritual selves. Once we are able to do this, we are able to use our out of body experiences to reach the higher planes of existence. This natural process is unlimited in its possibilities. When we are able to rediscover this natural part of us that so many have forgotten, we open ourselves up to the potentials of traveling the astral plane and understanding our higher, spiritual self.
