Things I Want In My Yoga Class

You need not prepare so much on the start of your yoga class. You just have to have the basic things a student need and make sure to have fun at your yoga experience. No need to have special clothing and equipment. Some routines may require you to use some small equipment. However, most yoga studios are the one who supply those equipments needed by their students.

No need to purchase because you may already have some of the common things needed in your yoga class.

  1. Loose Clothing. You don’t have to buy special clothing in a yoga class. An ordinary t-shirt and work out pants will be ok. Opting for a comfy shirt that allows you to move unreservedly. Bear in mind that you will perform several poses and stretching. So you need to have clothing that will not hinder for all your movements. A long shirt is also suggested to cover your midriff every time you do lifting of your arms and stretching to your sides.
  2. Pair of Warm Socks. You will not wear these pair of socks during your yoga class. Because in doing your yoga movements you will be barefoot. However, your feet might get chilly after you cool down.
  3. Any Kind of Sweatshirt. On your meditation session, you will be needing your sweatshirt. In doing your meditation at yoga studios, you might be cold. It is always better to come prepared. You can just remove it anytime or when your body heats up when you start with the gentle movements.
  4. Yoga Mat. This is something that you really need to buy. You can buy it at any gym that have yoga classes or at yoga studio. You can also find it over the internet.
  5. Towel. You need two kinds of towel. First, you need to bring a face or hand towel to wipe your face and keep your hands dry. To some students, they also want to cover their yoga mat with a towel. However, you need to be reminded that this is only needed on your sitting exercises. For sure it will not be safe for your balancing and standing routines.
  6. Water. Yoga is a type of exercise. You will definitely sweat performing all those different movements. Rehydrating yourself is a must.
